Life Goals 2021

The more you detail your goals, the likely you are going to stick to it.

Alright. There are so many I can think of in my mind. I need to cluster them and bring up only three per cluster.

Before we start some basics about setting goals:

Goals shouldn’t be too ambitions, because that can cause anxiety and stress and also they shouldn’t be too easy, otherwise it’s too boring for you to reach them.

Goals should be right in the golden middle which is called the “flow channel”.

From what I know, to reach your goals avoid using phrases such as “trying to” or “want to” – give yourself and your goals more confidence by using going to” phrases.

Of course because I’m making this public, I feel more stressed if not reaching all of this. But that’s fine, I’m doing it for myself and to improve my habits constantly.

Books

  •  I’m going to read two books per month - what means 24 in a year (maybe I even can reach 30...)
  • I’m going to summarize the most insightful books I have read
  • I’m going to to write, edit and publish my first novel - that’s my number one goal by the way  💫

Travel

  • I’m going to check out our neighbors country as we are living closer to Austria and Italy right now and so much is in easy reach
  • I’m going to Paris with and for my Mum’s 50th birthday
  • I’m going to New York (finally!!!!!) if the borders are opening again…

Minimalism

  • I’m going to sell or gift all the stuff I don’t need (clothes!!!)
  • I’m not going to buy more things I don’t need
  • I’m going to create our new homes with a minimalistic approach (but still cozy of course!)

Personal Wellbeing

  • I’m going to practice more yoga
  • I’m going to do more nature walks and outdoor sports -> buy a mountain bike and ski
  • I’m going to buy my own surfboard and dick deeper into the Atlantic ocean (literally)

Social Media

  • I’m going to reduce my instagram screentime if it is not supporting our channel
  • I’m going to learn more about photography / videography and editing
  • I’m going to blogpost at least once a week

I think that is already a bit too much. But not impossible. Once half of the year has passed I’m going to do a review these goals, to see wether they’ve been too ambitions or not.

Also learning portugese is on my list…

What are your goals?

Do you have any?

Is it better to have them noted down concretely or just go with the flow? …
